Volunteer Section

People volunteer for a variety of reasons... religious, social, personal,etc.... but whatever may be the reason you want to volunteer your gracious act would surely transform you and in small little ways the world around you. Volunteers form a powerful group that  organizations leverage to implement projects and create community participation. 'Volunteerism' in today's context is not confined to students, housewives, youth, elderly or any other such groups. It is also the professionals with management / engineering / doctorate background working in corporate houses contributing their knowledge and experience to the social sector.

For those of you who want to volunteer, but have not taken the plunge, here are a couple of reasons why you should get into it right away:

First, volunteering makes an important economic contribution to society. If it weren't for volunteers, many activities would have had to be supported by state or private funding. Volunteering helps channelise these funds into other areas.

Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, volunteering helps build strong and cohesive communities. It fosters trust between citizens and helps develop norms of solidarity and reciprocity, which are essential for stable communities to flourish. Volunteering has its share of delightful perks - chance to travel, meet new people, and acquire life & career enhancing experiences and skills. Volunteering does not require a special degree or prior experience. It is simply a willingness to help. Your interest, skills, enthusiasm, willingness, and commitment are wonderful assets to any organization.

This will be a place where you can volunteer for the skills you have.We may join hands to organise an event/activity around it or approach you to impart knowledge to the desirous. Keep watching and do send in your valueable feedbacks...we'll get in touch with you soon...

Please do keep visiting the website for the latest updates, and keep remembering us in your prayers. We will appreciate your valuable feedback.

Hamilton Alexander Roskeen Gibb on Islam

(1895-1971) A leading orientalist scholar of his time

"But Islam has a still further service to render to the cause of humanity. It stands after all nearer to the real East than Europe does, and it possesses a magnificent tradition of inter-racial understanding and cooperation. No other society has such a record of success uniting in an equality of status, of opportunity, and of endeavours so many and so various races of mankind … Islam has still the power to reconcile apparently irreconcilable elements of race and tradition. If ever the opposition of the great societies of East and West is to be replaced by cooperation, the mediation of  Islam is an indispensable condition. In its hands lies very largely the solution of the problem with which Europe is faced in its relation with East."

[Whither Islam, London, 1932, p. 379.]
